About the project

CCD was selected to recreate the New Bern Battlefield Map which is now a featured, permanent work of art, located at the New Bern Battlefield Park in New Bern, NC

What was included in the project?

This project was implemented by first by installing a 4" concrete slab as the base and canvas for the map.

Next, an 1/2" layer of integrally colored concrete was placed to create the various color fields of the map.

After the overlayment cured, all text, line art and map icons were engraved and stained. To complete the project, a protective clear sealer was applied.
